What will be generally included in my tour?
Generally, your tour will inlcude the following:
Airfare - An Economy class seat for all air travel mentioned in the itinerary are provided.
Accommodation - On twin sharing basis. We provide triple sharing rooms in some rare cases. You will be notified in advance in such cases.
Transport - As per destination and group size. Most of the tours will have aircondioned coaches for ground transport.
Meals - Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner. Please check your itinarary for specifics.
Sightseeing - Entry Fees, Guide charges

Is the tour itinerary fixed? Or does it change while on tour?
TravelLive finalises the tour itinerary months before the actual departure, and books the local accommodation, flights, and transports according to the plan. We always endeavour to operate the tour as per the original itinerary. Sometimes we change the sequence of our tour for operational reasons. This means, all the attractions published in the itinerary are covered, only in a changed sequence.
In some unavoidable situations beyond our control forces us to change the original tour itinerary either before the tour or while on tour. Tese may be triggered by sudden changes in state or country regulations / changes in schedule announced by airline or other transport providers / local political situations including labour unrest / weather situation such as snowfall etc. Such change/s are communicated to you as soon as we can make alternate arrangements; either before tour by message/call or while on tour by our Tour Leader.
What is a typical size of a tour group?
The number of guests traveling in one tour varies depending on the destination and season. The average group size for international tours is between 25 to 35.
Who would be my co-travelers?
Your co-traveller may be an individual of any profession, religion, language, or nationality. When you return from your dream holiday, we assure you that there will be additions to your friends list.
Can I modify or change my booking after confirmation?
Yes, you can change or amend your booking after confirmation. We will assist you with all changes. Depending on the requested change, charges may appliy.
Can I extend my stay while on a group tour?
Yes, you may extend your stay after the completion of a group tour or you can have your add-on program before the tour and join the tour on day one. We can arrange an Add-On portion to the group tour, which is customised to your requirements. You must specify your requirements at the time of booking, as any such extensions or deviations would need modifications to your original trip.
What happens when TravelLive cancels a tour?
In rare cases when we cancel a tour for operational reasons, you can opt for any other tour of your liking from our available tour list. Should you wish, we will process a full refund of your payment within 30 working days of the cancellation of the tour. The refund will be processed by bank transfer to your account in Indian Rupees.
What is TCS? How much TCS will apply on my tour?
The term TCS stands for Tax Collected as Source. Keep in mind, this is not an additional tax. The Government is collecting advance tax from you, which will be refunded or settled with your next tax return filing. Majority of our travellers, who have a valid PAN card and file tax return in India, get back the entire TCS amount. The prevalent rate for TCS is 5% of the package value up to a value of Rs. 7 lakhs. For packages above Rs. 7 lakhs, a rate of 20% will apply for expenditure above Rs 7 lakhs. For details, please check the notification from Government of India Press Information Bureau website link.
What are the age limits for a Child and an Infant?
Infant fare applies to passengers below the agre of 2 years. Child fare applies to passengers below the age of 11 years. A passenger with an age of 11 years or more will fall in Adult category.
Booking & Payment
How can I book a tour?
Most of our passengers book remotely by providing soft copies of documents (passports, PAN Cards, and Aadhaar card for all passengers) and making payment digitally. You may also book your tour at the TravelLive offices and make payment through cheques.
How many days prior to the tour should I do the booking?
TravelLive recommends you book your tour at least 9 months prior to the scheduled departure date as most of our tours fill up approximately 6 months in advance.
Why is the Tour price a combination of Indian Rupees and Foreign currency?
We incur expenses of the tour in multiple currencies, depending on the countries we are visiting. Your air tickets, visa, documentation, some part of land arrangements and miscellaneous expenses are paid in Indian currency whereas your land arrangements like hotel/cruise booking, meals, coach, sightseeing, train or ferry tickets, etc. are done in foreign currency. Pricing in 2 currencies makes it easier to understand the structure.
When do I have to make the payment?
You have to pay the Registration Amount while making the booking. You will have to make your next payment between 90 and 60 days before departure. This payment covers the Foreign Currency part of your price. The exact amount in Indian Rupees depend on the prevailing exchange rate. The final payment must be settled 30 days prior to departure.
What are the different payment modes for booking a tour?
To book a tour or holiday, you can pay by bank transfer (in the name of ‘TravelLive (India) Pvt Ltd’) or by cheque/demand draft. Additionally, you can also pay by credit card/debit card. A non-refundable convenience change of 2% of the transaction amount is levied on transactions done through Credit Card (except Diners)/Debit Card.
What should be the name on the cheque?
Cheques/Demand Drafts should be in the name of 'TravelLive (India) Pvt Ltd'.
For Bank Transfers, the bank account names are given in our Booking Form.
Is the registration amount paid to book a tour refundable?
If you choose to cancel a tour after paying the Booking Amount, we will levy a cancellation charge based on the time of cancellation. Please check the detailed Terms and Conditions using the link.
What are the documents required to book a tour?
To book an International Tour, you need to provide your passport, PAN Card, and Aadhar card details. Your passport should have validity for 6 months subsequent to the scheduled departure date of the tour and with sufficient number of complete blank pages (Left to Right) for visa purposes.
I'm a single traveller. Will I be charged a single occupancy?
Most of our trips have both the options -Twin Sharing or Single Occupancy. This means if you feel comfortable you can share a room with another TravelLive traveller of the same sex. In a single occupancy option, you may avail of a Single-Bed room.
Flight
Which airline do you use?
We fly with various premier airlines which are suitable for our category of tours. Selection of airlines depends on the flight schedule, airport, baggage policy, airline terms and conditions, and airfare. Airline selected for your tour will be informed at the time of booking. All our tour pages show the flights details.
When will I receive the air tickets for my Group Tour?
The air tickets for group tours are blocked well in advance. Air tickets copies will handed over to Travellers on the Get-Together-Meet prior to departure date which is generally between seven to ten days before departure. TravelLive will invite you to this meeting you well in advance.
How much baggage will I be allowed? Are there any restrictions on items I carry?
It is always advisable to travel light. Carry as much material as you can handle while transferring to hotels / trains / buses. The baggage allowance for check-in & carry-on baggage varies as per the airline and the class of travel. We usually book tickets with a reasonable baggage allowance. The exact baggage allowance for your scheduled airline will be conveyed to you prior to your departure. Every airline has a list of items restricted to be carried. You will find the details of the same on your air ticket.
Can I change class of my air travel?
TravelLive group tour generally includes economy class air ticket. If you wish to change the class of travel of premium, business, or first, you may do so at the time booking your tour at an additional price.
Visa
Will you assist me in getting visa?
Visa is mandatory for an international tour and you must ensure that you possess valid visas for your tour. If you booked a group tour, normal visa processing is included in the tour price and TravelLive will arrange to process your visa once you submit all necessary documents. We are merely facilitators of visa application and will assist you to prepare visa documents and guide you with formalities of each country. We will also submit and collect your passports from the consulate on your behalf wherever we are allowed to do so as an agent. Alternately, you may choose to arrange for your own visa without our assistance. In such case, or, if you possess a suitable visas, you can avail visa fee reduction in your tour price.
In certain cases, the visa authorities of the countries you are traveling to may call you for a personal appearance at a consulate located in another city. In such cases, you will have to arrange for the travel and bear the costs, which are not included in our Tour price.
When would you apply for my visa?
The time to process the visa varies from country to country. On top of that, generally there is a considerable waiting time for getting appointments. TravelLive keeps track of the situation in every country and will guide you through the process. Currently, we are applying for visa to European countries about three months prior to the departure. For African and Asian countries, we apply about two months before the departure.

What is the possibility of getting a Visa?
Granting a visa is sole prerogative of the respective Consulate / Embassy. We are not in a position to assure visa to anyone. We only assist you in filing the application for the visa. From our side, we ensure you get all supporting documents including air tickets, hotel bookings and local transport arrangements. As thousands of people have travelled with us, we have a good standing with different consulates as a stable and ethical travel partner. However, each individual is treated differently by the visa authorities, and your personal financial records are vital.
How and when will I know that my visa is done?
Though TravelLive assists you to process the visa, granting of the visa is at the sole discretion of the respective country. Certain embassies / consulates will communicate with you directly and will send the passport to your registered residence address. Some consulates intimate us about your visa, which we will immediately convey to you.
What happens if my visa gets rejected?
As granting of visa is not in the hands of TravelLive, it may happen that visa gets rejected due to various reasons which consulate / embassy may or may not disclose. Under that unfortunate situation, you may consider your options. In some cases, we may advise you to reapply for a visa for the same or a different country. Your other options are cancelling the trip or selecting an alternative tour. In these cases, you can get a refund after deducting the visa application fees and other cancellation charges, if any, as per our Terms & Conditions.
What is the process if I already have valid visa for the tour?
If you have valid visa for the tour, please get it checked from TravelLive Visa Executives at the time of booking. If the visa is valid, you can avail visa fee reduction in tour price.
How will I get Visa coverage if I extend my holiday after or before the scheduled tour?
The Visa included in the tour price is only for the tour duration. For your extended holiday we will process your visa accordingly, you just need to pay the difference. Please keep in mind that you may need to extend your medical insurance to cover your entire stay by paying an additional amount.
Insurance
What is covered under my insurance policy?
Group tour insurance policy included in the tour price has a limited cover which may include loss of baggage, flight delays/ cancellation, hospitalization, death, repatriation, evacuation etc. to a certain extent. Optional adventure activities which are a part of the tour itinerary may or may not be covered in the insurance policy.
How will I get Insurance coverage if I extend my holiday after or before the scheduled tour?
The Insurance included in the tour price is only for the tour duration. For your extended holiday we will process your insurance accordingly, you just need to pay the difference.
Hotel
What class of accommodation is provided on the tour?
TravelLive provides good quality accommodation throughout the tour. The Hotels will be either good 3 Star or 4 Star categories. The location of the accommodation generally depends on the tour program. Our website will show indicative accommodations in each city. However, based on the prevalent situation, we may provide a different but equivalent accommodation.
What type of rooms do you provide?
Generally, the rooms are twin or double bedded and extra bed (if needed) is provided in the form of a mattress on the floor. You can opt for single occupancy room by paying single room supplement at the time of booking.
May I know hotel names at the times of booking?
You will know the suggested names of the hotels or accommodation which we typically use for that tour. You can find these on our website as well as tour brochures. You will get the confirmed list of the hotels during the Pre-trip Briefing. We ensure we provide the same class of accommodation in case the original accommodation is not available.
Meal
What type of meals are included on tour?
As per the tour itinerary, we arrange pre-set menu with Vegetarian / Non vegetarian choices in the same restaurant/s. Your tour brochure clearly indicates whether breakfast, lunch, or dinner will be provided on each day of the tour.
Depending on availability and convenience of the itinerary, we offer either local or Indian cuisine in a given meal. We try our best to offer a combination of cuisines in each tour.
Additionally, we make best effort to provide complementary tea / coffee in the afternoon, depending on availability.
Can I request for a special meal?
Yes, special meals like Jain Meals, Fasting meals are provided as per availability. For air travels, we book meals as per guest preference. At times, under extreme circumstances, the requested option may not be available. Options are limited on international tours considering the local availability.
Do you have arrangements for drinking water on tour?
In some countries, the hotels will provide a limited quantity of complementary water bottles. In some other countries, one can take the water from tap. In the countries where the tap water is not patable (drinkable), we provide bottled water every day in a limited quatity. We advise that you carry an empty water bottle which can be refilled at hotel, restaurant or at various sightseeing places.
On Tour
Does the Tour Director assist us on the entire tour?
Yes, the Tour Manager will assist you throughout the tour from India (specifically from Group departure airport) and this is one of the main highlights of TravelLive India.
In which language will the Tour Director communicate with us on tour?
The Tour Directors are fluent in Bengali, Hindi and English.
How can our relatives contact us in emergency situations when we are on tour?
We provide a set of pre-departure information that you can share with your relatives. Your relatives may call to the emergency contact number provided in the pre-departure information sheet or contact you at the hotel directly..
Do you provide a Leave Travel Certificate (LTA/LTC) letter?
Yes, we do provide a Leave Travel Certificate for the tour. Kindly get in touch with your travel advisor of TravelLive to generate your LTC letter.
Can we request for a wheel-chair at the airport?
A wheel chair request needs to be given at the time of booking along with a medical certificate. Airline & airport policies vary around the world and at times, a wheel chair request may be chargeable in certain airports.
Can we get a wheelchair on tour?
TravelLive doesn't provide wheelchair facility while on the tour. Wheel-chair bound guests will have to carry their own wheelchair and should be accompanied by their family member(s) who can move and carry the wheel chair.
Will I get front seat in the bus / coach?
The Tour Director of TravelLive will alternate the seating positions in the coach/bus/tempo traveller/car every day with a focus is to give same seating satisfaction to every member of a group.
What if I lose my baggage/ luggage on tour?
Your luggage is your responsibility. In the unfortunate situation of you losing your luggage, you are required to fill up the complaint claim form at the airline counter before leaving the airport . You may need to provide your hotel/ residence details to airline, so your baggage can be sent to your hotel directly by airline. You may get assistance using applicable insurance.
Can we skip sightseeing on the group tour ? Will we get a refund for skipped sightseeing?
Yes, you can skip sightseeing on a group tour but you will not be entitled to claim a refund of the same as all the services are pre-booked.
If I misplace my passport, what assistance will you provide?
Typically, only 1 Tour Director is assigned to manage the group & since (s)he has to follow the itinerary, the group may have to move ahead to the next destination while you may have to stay back at your current location - additional services will be on chargeable basis. We will try our best to provide you with assistance - subject to availability & on chargeable basis - who'll assist you with all the required & necessary formalities like lodging a complaint / FIR at the nearest police station & securing a Landing Certificate from the Indian Embassy of the respective international destination.
Cancellation & Refund
What is the cancellation policy for a group tour?
Whenever you cancel any tour for any reason, cancellation charges will apply according to the Cancellation Policy mentioned in the Terms & Conditions of TravelLive. For more details, contact us.
What is the mode of payment in case of a refund from TravelLive?
Any applicable refund from TravelLive will be paid by NEFT/RTGS or A/C payee cheque in Indian rupees only, even if you have made the tour payment partly or fully in foreign currency.
How long does it take to process a refund?
TravelLive processes the refund within 15 working days of settilng the account with our partners. In certain cases, the partners (airlines, ground handling agents, railways etc) may take between 30 to 60 days to make the settlement.
