Welcome to TravelLive (India) Pvt. Ltd! Our experienced Tour Director will meet and greet you at Kolkata International Airport. They will assist with immigration and customs formalities before you board your flight to Kyoto via Bangkok. Welcome to Japan, the Land of the Rising Sun! Upon arrival in the afternoon and completing immigration and customs, you will be greeted by our Coach Captain and Japanese Representative who will take you to an Indian dinner, followed by overnight rest.
Kyoto - Nara - Kyoto
After breakfast, we meet our Japanese guide and visit the renowned Kinkaku Temple, or Kinkakuji, known as the Golden Pavilion. This architectural marvel, covered in gold leaf and set amidst lush greenery and a tranquil pond, is a sight to behold. Next, embark on an excursion to Nara, renowned for its historic and scenic beauty. Our guided tour will take us through some of Japan's most treasured sites. We begin at Nara Park, a top tourist destination celebrated for its scenic beauty and its sacred deer, once considered divine and now designated as National Treasures. The deer are a unique feature of the park, stemming from their historical association with the gods of Kasuga Shrine. Our next visit is to the Todaiji Temple, a significant Buddhist temple complex in Nara. This imposing statue is a marvel of Japanese religious art. We have a stopover for lunch, where we savour local Japanese cuisine. We'll then explore the Kasuga Grand Shrine, a revered Shinto shrine known for its stunning architecture and historical significance. Its location on an ancient burial mound or kofun adds to its historical depth, with over 2,000 years of history. After a day filled with cultural and historical exploration, we will transfer back to Kyoto for dinner and an overnight stay, allowing time to reflect on the profound heritage and beauty of Nara.
Kyoto - Hiroshima
After breakfast, we transfer from your hotel to Kyoto Station, where you'll experience the thrill of riding Japan's famous bullet train. This high-speed journey is a blend of efficiency and comfort, showcasing Japan's technological prowess. We head to Hiroshima and start our day with a visit to the Peace Park, a symbol of remembrance for the victims of the nuclear attack and a beacon for world peace. The park houses the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum, offering insights into the tragic event and its aftermath. Next, we explore the Atomic Bomb Museum within the park, which draws over a million visitors yearly. It's an educational site that emphasizes the importance of peace and reconciliation. We then journey to the serene Miyajima Island, a short ferry ride away. This island is famous for its scenic beauty and the Itsukushima Shrine, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its iconic "floating" torii gate. The day concludes with a return to Hiroshima for dinner at a local restaurant and an overnight stay, wrapping up a day filled with historical and cultural immersion.
Hiroshima - Osaka
After breakfast, you'll check out of your hotel and set off for Osaka. Today, we have another opportunity to ride the Bullet Train to Shin-Osaka station. As Japan's third-largest city and the capital of Osaka Prefecture, Osaka is a vibrant part of the Keihanshin metropolis, which includes Kyoto and Kobe. Our first stop in Osaka is the Umeda Sky Building, a notable city landmark. Standing as the twelfth tallest building in Osaka, the Umeda Sky Building is distinguished by its two 40-story towers connected at the top by bridges and an escalator set in an atrium-like space. This architectural marvel offers a unique perspective of the city. After exploring the Umeda Sky Building, we will provide time for a brief stopover for lunch. Then, we'll head towards Osaka Castle, a significant historical landmark in Japan. Built in the 15th century, the castle played a crucial role in the unification of Japan during the 16th century. We then gather and proceed for dinner, followed by an overnight stay in Osaka, providing an opportunity to relax and anticipate the adventures ahead in this dynamic city.
Osaka - Aichi
Today, we venture into Mie Prefecture – the home of the Ninja. A three-hour drive brings us to Mikimoto Pearl Island - the cultured pearl industry got its start right here, and you'll see stunning examples of both the glowing little orbs and the jewellery made with them. After a sumptuous local lunch, we take a thrilling ferry ride to Mie along the Dolphin Bay. Upon reaching Mie, we take a drive along the scenic Pacific Ocean Long Beach to reach Aichi.
Aichi - Shizuoka
After breakfast, we will have the unique experience of visiting a strawberry farm and getting the opportunity to pick strawberries. Thereafter, we will experience the Rapeseed Blossom Festival. Shizuoka is famous for its bright yellow “Nanohana” or rapeseed flower. From mid-February through mid-March each year, the Nanohana and Kawazu-sakura trees blossom simultaneously and provide an amazing feast of colours. After this, we will explore the Suzuki Museum, which provides an immersive experience of the evolution of Suzuki's vehicles. It features interactive exhibits and a fascinating look at the company's heritage. In the afternoon, we visited a green tea farm to experience traditional Japanese tea processing and have a chance to taste Japanese tea. We then transfer to our hotel and have an Indian dinner.
Shizuoka - Mount Fuji & Hakone - Tokyo
Following a hearty breakfast, our day kicks off with a visit to the iconic Mount Fuji. We start with a cruise on Lake Aishi, a beautiful and serene location known for its hot springs and remarkable views of Mount Fuji. This cruise is not just a journey across the lake, but a chance to witness the beauty of Japan's natural landscape. We then proceed to experience the Komagatake Ropeway, a unique experience offering stunning views of volcanic activity. We stopover for a local lunch, before we proceed towards Mount Fuji 5th station (or Mt. Fuji visitor centre, depending on the weather & traffic). We admire the majestic Mount Fuji, a symbol of Japan, as we explore this renowned spot. Known for its breathtaking Goraiko sunrise, Mount Fuji is a must-see for any visitor to Japan. Our adventure continues with a scenic cruise on Lake Ashi The day concludes with a transfer to the hotel in Shizuoka, the capital of Shizuoka Prefecture, and the city is known for scenic views of Mount Fuji.
Tokyo
After breakfast, our guided tour of Tokyo begins. We'll start with a visit to the Imperial Palace, where you'll learn about its significance and history. Next, we'll explore the Asakusa Kannon Temple, a rich historical and religious site. Next, we take a walking tour of Nakamise Shopping Arcade. After a lunch break, Our tour will also include visiting the towering Tokyo Sky Tree, where you can enjoy panoramic city views. The day concludes with a return to the hotel for an overnight stay in Tokyo.
Tokyo
After breakfast, we'll check out of our hotel and venture into Shinjuku Gyoen Park, one of Tokyo's largest and most popular parks. The park's spacious lawns, meandering walking paths and tranquil scenery provide a relaxing escape from the busy urban center. It is one of the best opportunities in the city to see cherry blossoms.
Tokyo to Kolkata
To conclude the day, you'll proceed to Tokyo International Airport to board our evening flight back home. The next day after early morning arrival, complete your immigration formalities and bid farewell to your companions as you embark on your journey to Kolkata, ending your memorable trip.
