Siem Reap
Upon arrival at Siem Reap International Airport, you'll embark on a tour of the Chong Kneas Floating Villages, situated 10 km south of Siem Reap. Experience a traditional wooden boat ride on Tonle Sap, Cambodia's "Great Lake" and the largest in Asia, offering a glimpse into the Khmer lifestyle. Enjoy a breathtaking sunset on the lake before returning to Siem Reap for dinner at an Indian restaurant, followed by a restful night in the city.
Angkor Wat & Angkor Thom
Start your day with an early morning visit to Angkor Wat to witness a breathtaking sunrise. After returning to the hotel for breakfast and a brief rest, embark on a tour beginning with the South Gate of Angkor Thom, featuring the complex Bayon Temple. Next, admire the Terrace of the Elephants and the Terrace of the Leper King, both renowned for their intricate carvings and historical significance. Following a morning filled with exploration, enjoy a relaxing lunch at an Indian restaurant. In the afternoon, visit Ta Prohm temple, a stunning blend of nature and architecture with its iconic overgrown trees. Continue to the majestic Angkor Wat temple, marvelling at its architectural brilliance and historical depth. End the day with dinner at an Indian restaurant, then spend another peaceful night in Siem Reap, reflecting on the day's rich cultural experiences.
Phnom Penh
After an early breakfast, we'll check out of the hotel and head to Phnom Penh. Upon arrival, we'll enjoy lunch before checking into our accommodations. In the afternoon, we'll visit the Choeung Ek museum, a poignant reminder of the atrocities committed between 1975 and 1978, where 17,000 individuals were detained and later exterminated. Our journey continues with a visit to the vibrant Khmer-style Royal Palace complex, constructed in 1866 by King Norodom's predecessors, followed by the opulent Silver Pagoda. The day concludes with dinner at an Indian restaurant before we retire for the night in Phnom Penh.
Phnom Penh - Cu Chi Tunnels - Saigon
After breakfast, we'll check out from the hotel and head to the Vietnam border. Following immigration procedures, we'll meet our Vietnamese guide and set off for the Cu Chi tunnels, pausing for lunch at a local restaurant upon arrival. In the afternoon, we explore the Cu Chi tunnels, a 200km underground network that played a crucial role during the war, serving as fully functioning cities with trap doors, living areas, storage, weapon factories, field hospitals, command centers, and kitchens. An introductory video will precede a hands-on experience, where you'll crawl through a section of the tunnels, experiencing their constrictive dimensions and warmth firsthand. The journey continues to Saigon, where we'll check into our hotel and enjoy dinner at an Indian restaurant, concluding the day with an overnight stay in Saigon.
Mekong Delta
After breakfast, we'll travel to Can Tho, famous for its coconut products and local factories. We'll cruise on the Mekong River, observing life along its banks, and stop at an island for fresh fruits and Vietnamese folk music. Next, we'll transition to a smaller boat, navigated by locals through narrow canals lined with water coconut trees, leading us to visit local factories. Following lunch, our afternoon features a visit to the Vinh Trang Pagoda, showcasing an architectural blend of Chinese, Cambodian, and French influences. Returning to Saigon, we'll explore the bustling Ben Thanh Market, a perfect place for souvenirs and local crafts. The day concludes with dinner at an Indian restaurant, followed by an overnight stay in Saigon.
Saigon - Da Nang
After breakfast, start your city tour at the Reunification Palace, the 60s-style building that marked the end of South Vietnam in 1975, preserved in its original form with the historic tanks displayed at its entrance. Next, admire the European-style City Hall and the old Opera House from the outside, followed by visits to the neo-Romanesque Notre Dame Cathedral and the Central Post Office. The tour continues to the War Remnants Museum, offering a profound insight into the Vietnam-American War through photographic exhibitions and displays of war machinery, evoking deep reflections. Enjoy lunch at an Indian restaurant before flying from Saigon to Da Nang. In the afternoon, explore Hoi An ancient town, walking over the Japanese Bridge, visiting Chinese Assembly halls, and wandering by the Thu Bon River market. Check into your Da Nang hotel to relax, then end the day with dinner at an Indian restaurant, staying overnight in Da Nang.
Ba Na Hills & Golden Bridge
After breakfast, we head to the Ba Na Hills via cable car, stopping en route to admire the Vong Nguyet Hills, Linh Ung Pagoda, and the historic French Villas. Enjoy the thrilling games at Fantasy Park, Vietnam's third-largest indoor games zone. Following this, savour a buffet lunch at a local restaurant. On the cable car ride back, visit Nui Chua Mountain at the peak of the Ba Na range and marvel at the Golden Bridge, a 150-meter-long architectural wonder perched 1,400 meters above sea level, supported by two giant stone hands, offering breathtaking mountain views. We'll also explore Ngin Phong Top, Le Nim Villas, and the Orchid Garden. The day concludes with a visit to My Khe Beach before we return to Da Nang for an overnight stay at our hotel.
Hanoi
We will catch an early flight to Hanoi, where our first visit is to the Ho Chi Minh Complex, which includes Ba Dinh Square, Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum, and his stilted wooden residence set in tranquil gardens. We'll also see the historic One Pillar Pagoda, established by King Ly Thai To in 1049. Next, we explore the Temple of Literature, Vietnam's first university, built in 1070, offering a serene look into the country's scholarly past. After enjoying lunch at an Indian restaurant, we head to West Lake to visit Tran Quoc Pagoda, Hanoi's oldest pagoda, dating back to the 6th century. The afternoon continues with a visit to Hoan Kiem Lake, Ngoc Son Temple, followed by a walking tour of Hanoi's Old Quarter, an intricate maze of streets each dedicated to a specific trade, known as ‘The 36 Streets’. The day concludes with dinner at an Indian restaurant, followed by an overnight stay in Hanoi.
Ha Long Bay
After breakfast, we embark on a journey to Ha Long Bay, travelling through the fertile Red River Delta. Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1994, Ha Long Bay is a natural wonder encompassing nearly 3,000 islets with emerald waters and limestone islands crowned by lush rainforests. Guests have the opportunity to explore the caverns, enjoy swimming, or simply relax on the sundeck with a drink in hand. Our boat returns to the wharf in the late afternoon, and we then take a coach back to Hanoi for an overnight stay.
